I’M NOT DEAD YET! May 2022

Life has been a little crazy over the last couple of months, I’ve been trying to find time to write and direct while wedding planning! Back at the end of March, I directed Ruse, a short film about how a small town is shocked by a series of murders targeting high school students. We’re in the process of editing still, because some personal issues came up that delayed the process.

If you want to hear more about Ruse, please check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RuseShort and our Twitter page https://twitter.com/RuseFilm for updates!

I’m also excited to report that I’ve been back in the studio doing voiceover work. It’s been great getting back and working with an exceptional group of artists!

What’s Next? October 2021

I plan on directing another short film on the final weekend of October. I’m in preproduction right now. This will be a fun challenge and I’m looking forward to it!

Alex in Death Benefits

In 2021, I wrote, directed, and acted in Death Benefits as part of the Austin 48 Hour Film Project. The cast and crew made it such a such project. Death Benefits was my first time directing a short film and I won Best Directing for it in the Austin 48 Hour Film Project. I was also nominated for Best Individual Performance, along with Shelby McCall, who plays Evelyn in this short. Without the people around me, my first time directing could have gone far worse and I’m beyond grateful for the people who worked with me.

I plan on writing and directing more this year. I am nervous, but I’m far more excited about what opportunities are ahead of me.

Ensemble in Blood Brothers

My final show of 2018 was the musical written by Willy Russell. We performed at the Bathhouse Cultural Center near Whiterock Lake. The cast was phenomenal and the production crew made this wonderful show possible. This production made for an excellent final show of 2018. I would like to express my gratitude to Joe Messina and Scott Eckert for their work in guiding the cast and crew towards the creation of such a magnificent show.

REVIEW: “Angell in particular was so damn hilarious in this production number with his acting choices and facial expressions. Plus, his comedic timing was razor sharp with the lyrics. The entire group of men in this number were down right hysterical!” -John Garcia of the Column.

Ty in Sordid Lives

It was a pleasure working with Rachel Lindley and the rest of the cast and crew of Sordid Lives in in the late Spring of 2018. I portrayed the role of Ty dealing with mixed feelings over the loss of his grandmother, the woman who forced Ty’s uncle into a mental institute due to his homosexuality.
